Dawn, it is a shortbread base, so it's very crumbly and a little dryish. And a lot of the recipes in the book are indeed on Martha's website, but not all. I have no idea how many are actually on the website. I admit I was a little disappointed after I got the book and realized that a lot of them were already on her website! I think it'll be the same deal with her new CUPCAKES book coming out in June, too.

Very cute! Your photos are always so pretty. I'm always afraid to try these because they seem like a shortbread and everytime I make something like that they come out dry; but these look terrific.

Question about the COOKIES book: Do you know if most of the recipes on Martha's website, or is it worth it to buy the book?
