On The New Design

Hi everyone, I’ve just launched a new design here at The Sweetest Kitchen this morning.  I didn’t like the magazine-format of my blog anymore and wanted to revert back to a more normal layout.  I really like this one, and I hope you do too!

I’ve decorated a bit for Halloween – there’s a web and spiders at the top of the page near the logo.  Expect to see a couple of spooky Halloween cupcakes this month, with thanks to Bake It Pretty for their awesome Halloween cupcake toppers.

I have to give a big thanks to Vanessa of The Vanessa Contessa for the masthead cupcake photo.  Those cupcakes are her Shirley Temple cupcakes that she entered into Iron Cupcake: Earth’s soda pop challenge.  I love that photo and thought it would look great here with the new red colors.

You might also notice that I’ve finally, after over one year, added a photo of myself to the About page.  I’m holding my newborn baby and a coconut cupcake!  In the background are more cupcakes and my beloved KitchenAid mixer.

I hope you enjoy the new look, and thanks for stopping by!  :)
